Interesting Ukraine: Mlynky Cave
Mlynky – one of the largest horizontal caves in Ukraine. The length of about 35 km. Located in the Ternopil region, Chortkovsky district, with. Zalissya.
The base of the cave is a gypsum rock. A few million years ago, the entire cave was the monolithic bottom of the Sarmatian Sea. Gradually, cracks formed in the rock, into the depths of which water fell and washed out cavities, which now turned into numerous passages.
