Holidays in Goa: the best hotels
We have not yet seen a person who would not want to go to Goa at least once. You can relax here all year round. Traditionally, the lowest demand tours in Goa are from June to November, when the state rains. But the air temperature throughout the year varies from 23 to 33 degrees, so it’s always warm in Goa!
Inexperienced tourists imagine a holiday at this resort as an unrestrained beach party from dusk to dawn. But this is only one side of the coin (we admit that without parties Goa is not Goa). Here you will also find deserted beaches, where you can spend the whole day in peace and quiet, to practice surfing. Also, Goa is a storehouse of cultural attractions! We strongly recommend that you visit Panaji – the state capital. Here you will see how denominations and nationalities are closely intertwined in India. And it is in Panaji located the best restaurants in all of India.
120 km from the legendary Arambol can visit Dudhsagar – one of the most magnificent waterfalls in India. Dudhsagar falls from a height of 310 meters, and the flow of water is surrounded by fine white splashes. Because of this, all the water mass falling from a cliff resembles a snow-white flowing bedspread. Very picturesque picture turns out! The road to the waterfall runs through the jungle and untouched nature. You can overcome this path in jeeps. And the journey will cause no less delight than the waterfall itself.
Three popular myths about holidays in Goa
In Goa, there are northern and southern parts. Among the tourists regarding the rest in different parts of the state there are certain myths.
Myth 1. South Goa is more expensive than the north.
In the southern part of the state more expensive hotels. It’s true. But regarding the cost of food, rent a bike the difference is not great.
Myth 2. South Goa beaches are cleaner than in the north.
Visually, maybe it is. But the thing is that the northern beaches are mostly gray or coarse yellow sand. And on the beaches from Vagator to Arambol sand is generally mixed with clay. Whereas the beaches of South Goa are almost all with fine, light sand creaking under their feet. Because of this, even the water on the south bank seems cleaner.
Myth 3. Goa is calmer in the south than in the north.
In general, it does not even depend on the state of the state, but on a particular beach. On the southern beaches definitely less parties. And the audience in these hotels is different. More mature Europeans. But young people prefer beaches in the northern part. But this does not mean that the beaches in the north are “not calm”. The most hippie and informal place is considered to be Arambol beach. But in South Goa on the beaches of Palolem, Putnam and Agonda, you can also meet the most disparate audience!
